Sharing photos on Instagram, Drescher praised\u00a0<em>Dying Is No Excuse!<\/em>, written by her sitcom mom Ren\u00e9e Taylor, who wrote the show about the life and love she shared with late husband \u00a0Joe Bologna.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\">Taylor is portrayed by Nicholle\u00a0Tom, who fans of the show will also recognize. Tom played Maggie Sheffield, the oldest of the three Sheffield kids in\u00a0<em>The Nanny,\u00a0<\/em>making the night that much more meaningful for all three ladies.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\">\u201cLast night at The Unicorn Theater in Stockbridge, MA, a magical night of theater happened,\u201d Drescher captioned the post. \u201cRenee Taylor wrote the play,\u00a0<em>Dying Is No Excuse!<\/em>\u00a0This triumph celebrates the creative and complex love filled marriage &amp; relationship between Renee Taylor &amp; Joe Bologna.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_16-0\">Drescher celebrated Taylor, 92, for being \u201ca magical genius who opens and closes the show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_18-0\">\u201cThe flashback scenes beginning when Renee was 30 and goes through all of their life together thru The Nanny and Joe\u2019s battle with cancer,\u201d Drescher explained of the show before praising Tom\u2019s performance as Taylor.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_20-0\">\u201cThe top notch cast is lead by\u00a0<em>The Nanny<\/em>\u00a0costar Nicholle\u00a0Tom who is both fearless &amp; incredible as Renee and Jack Maxwell of Booze Traveler in a tour de force performance as Joe! The supporting cast are major character actor pros who play multiple characters and breathe life into the many faces throughout their lives. So I just started shopping for the show\u2026 I wanted color, I wanted it to be sexy. And there was lots of color available in 1993.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_31-0\">The Emmy-winning costume designer added, \u201cFran gave me my wings and she trusted me. We were a match made in heaven.
