    Fran Drescher\u00a0is always showing love to\u00a0The Nanny\u00a0<\/em>family.<\/p>\n

    The actress, 67, got together with costars from the beloved sitcom for a very special occasion. Sharing photos on Instagram, Drescher praised\u00a0Dying Is No Excuse!<\/em>, written by her sitcom mom Ren\u00e9e Taylor, who wrote the show about the life and love she shared with late husband \u00a0Joe Bologna.<\/p>\n

    Taylor is portrayed by Nicholle\u00a0Tom, who fans of the show will also recognize. Tom played Maggie Sheffield, the oldest of the three Sheffield kids in\u00a0The Nanny,\u00a0<\/em>making the night that much more meaningful for all three ladies.<\/p>\n

    \u201cLast night at The Unicorn Theater in Stockbridge, MA, a magical night of theater happened,\u201d Drescher captioned the post. \u201cRenee Taylor wrote the play,\u00a0Dying Is No Excuse!<\/em>\u00a0This triumph celebrates the creative and complex love filled marriage & relationship between Renee Taylor & Joe Bologna.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Drescher celebrated Taylor, 92, for being \u201ca magical genius who opens and closes the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe flashback scenes beginning when Renee was 30 and goes through all of their life together thru The Nanny and Joe\u2019s battle with cancer,\u201d Drescher explained of the show before praising Tom\u2019s performance as Taylor.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe top notch cast is lead by\u00a0The Nanny<\/em>\u00a0costar Nicholle\u00a0Tom who is both fearless & incredible as Renee and Jack Maxwell of Booze Traveler in a tour de force performance as Joe! The supporting cast are major character actor pros who play multiple characters and breathe life into the many faces throughout their lives. Costumes for Renee, Nicholle\u00a0& Jack by The Nanny designer & Emmy winner Brenda Cooper! If you\u2019re anywhere near Stockbridge MA., GO! Next stop hopefully Broadway!\u201d<\/p>\n

    Back in 2018, Drescher\u2019s costume designer, Brenda Cooper \u2014 who worked with her for four seasons of\u00a0The Nanny<\/em>\u00a0in addition to working with her former costars on the play \u2014 previously spoke to\u00a0Hello Giggles\u00a0<\/em>about her decision to go with\u00a0bold colors in patterns\u00a0on the show.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI didn\u2019t get any direction, but I knew exactly what to do, and Fran just let me do it \u2026 It was very colorful and it was form-fitting,\u201d Cooper told the outlet in 2018. \u201cThat was the inspiration to create this character.\u201d<\/p>\n

    She continued, \u201cI intentionally wanted to make a statement of style, wit, and humor, all combined. So I just started shopping for the show\u2026 I wanted color, I wanted it to be sexy. And there was lots of color available in 1993.\u201d<\/p>\n

    The Emmy-winning costume designer added, \u201cFran gave me my wings and she trusted me. We were a match made in heaven. She just let me do my thing, and that\u2019s what the result was.\u201d<\/p>\n
